By downloading, installing, or using the SermonFlo application, website, and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use SermonFlo.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the platform. Your continued use of SermonFlo constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
2. Service Description
SermonFlo is an AI-powered mobile application designed to help believers capture, transcribe, summarize, and reflect on sermons. Key features include:
- • Sermon audio recording and transcription (via AI)
- • Automatic sermon summaries and key insights
- • Bible verse extraction and integration with Bible databases
- • Personal reflection and note-taking tools
- • Hymnal and worship resource access
- • Community and congregation features
- • Sermon sharing and export functionality (subject to privacy preferences)
3. Account Registration and Responsibility
3.1 Account Creation
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use SermonFlo. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
- • You meet the minimum age requirement
- • You provide accurate, complete, and current information
- • You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts
- • You will not impersonate others or provide false information
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials. You agree to:
- • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access or security breaches
- • Not share your account credentials with others
- • Log out of your account when using shared or public devices
SermonFlo is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to maintain account security.
4. Permitted and Prohibited Uses

You may use SermonFlo for personal, non-commercial spiritual growth and worship purposes, including:

- • Sharing sermons with family and close circles with appropriate permissions

4.2 Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use SermonFlo for any of the following purposes:
- • Recording, distributing, or reproducing sermons without proper authorization or copyright compliance
- • Creating commercial content or competing services using SermonFlo data
- • Interfering with or disrupting the Service infrastructure
- • Reverse engineering or attempting to circumvent security
- • Transmitting viruses, malware, or malicious code through the Service
- • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
- • Collecting or using personal data of other users without consent
- • Violating intellectual property, copyright, or other legal rights
- • Violating applicable laws or regulations
- • Spam, phishing, or fraudulent activities
5. Intellectual Property Rights
5.1 SermonFlo Content
All content in SermonFlo—including the application interface, design, graphics, functionality, and underlying technology—is owned by or licensed to SermonFlo and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any SermonFlo content without our express written permission.
5.2 User-Generated Content
By uploading, creating, or sharing content through SermonFlo (sermon recordings, notes, reflections), you grant SermonFlo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- • Store and process your content to provide the Service
- • Analyze content for improvements and research (anonymized where possible)
- • Backup and maintain copies for security purposes
You retain all ownership rights to your user-generated content. You are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions from sermon speakers or their institutions before recording or sharing.
5.3 Third-Party Content
SermonFlo may include content from third parties, including Bible verses, hymns, and other resources. These remain the property of their respective owners. Use is permitted under fair use or applicable licenses.
6. External APIs and Third-Party Services
6.1 OpenAI API for Transcription
SermonFlo uses OpenAI's API to transcribe and summarize sermon audio. By using this feature, you acknowledge:
- • Your audio data will be transmitted to OpenAI for processing
- • OpenAI's terms and privacy policies apply to data shared with them
- • Transcription accuracy may vary; you should review transcripts for accuracy
- • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to record and process the audio
6.2 Bible APIs
SermonFlo integrates with Bible APIs to provide verse content and context. These services' terms and policies govern the use of Bible content.
6.3 Payment Processors
Payments are processed through third-party providers (Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Your payment information is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
6.4 Third-Party Service Disclaimers
SermonFlo is not responsible for third-party services' unavailability, data practices, or violations of their terms. We recommend reviewing their policies before use.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- • SermonFlo is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- • Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service (if any)
- • We are not responsible for user-generated content or third-party services
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SermonFlo and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

9. Disclaimer of Warranties
SERMONFLO IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:

- • Warranties that the Service will be timely, secure, or uninterrupted

11. Termination

You may terminate your account and stop using SermonFlo at any time by deleting the app and requesting account deletion through your account settings.

SermonFlo may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, without notice or liability, if you:
- • Violate these Terms or applicable laws
- • Engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior
- • Misuse the Service or third-party services
- • Fail to pay subscription fees (if applicable)
11.3 Effects of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use SermonFlo ends immediately. Your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period, unless required by law for compliance purposes.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SermonFlo operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction for any disputes.
13. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation with SermonFlo. If negotiation fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, at your discretion.
14. Availability and Changes to the Service
SermonFlo may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any features) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
15. Compliance with Laws
You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights when using SermonFlo. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with local, national, and international laws.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if that is not possible, severed. The remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced here, constitute the entire agreement between you and SermonFlo regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
